Altuzarra Spring 2013
The Altuzarra woman is sleek, polished, well tailored, and effortlessly cool, as was apparent in the designer and CFDA Swarovski Award winner’s Spring 2013 collection.
Spring and summer dressing might conjure images of bold, vivid hues, but Altuzarra instead dished out a more demure palette with splashes of black, brown, and a hint of muted color here and there.
With side parted hair slicked back into a low bun, minimal makeup, and bare nails, models made their way down the runway in a few ornately printed numbers. Thigh-high gladiator sandals provided by Gianvito Rossi made an added statement.
Opulence abounded in strategically wrapped embroidered silks accented with gold fringe. They were a visual stunner, to say the least.
This collection was refreshing and immaculately executed. I can see some of Hollywood’s classier set in a few of these garments. I’m hoping Beyoncé will slip into the piece modeled by Joan Smalls. I can also see actress Gwyneth Paltrow doing this collection justice.
