Shaving is perhaps one of the common reasons causing dark armpits, since using this method of hair removal, it only works at the surface, and the hair at the sub-surface can make your skin look darker. In this case it’s better to turn to any other way of hair removal, such as waxing or plucking.
We know that exfoliation is a very important step, included in our skin care routine; however we never pay attention to the underarm area. Exfoliating weekly with the right products, containing lactic acid, can lead to excellent results. Antiperspirants and deodorants might also contain some ingredients causing dark armpits, so a useful tip will be switching the antiperspirant brand to see which one matches your skin type the best.
You can also face such kind of a skin problem during pregnancy, because of hormonal disorder, which will disappear only in several months. Sometimes you can get rid of this problem at home, but if you think it’s becoming too complicated, it’s advisable to see a doctor.
As we have already got acquainted with the main causes, it’s high time to treat this problem with the help of some skin bleaching homemade remedies. In this sense lemon juice is perhaps the most popular and cheap remedy.
Apply some lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric powder on the affected area and leave it there for at least 12 minutes, before rinsing it off. You can also rub lemon halves, which will have the same effect as a gentle scrub. Rubbing baking soda during a bath is another good option, done constantly. You may also try some coconut oil, which is also very effective.

You can also take a few teaspoons of sandalwood and two teaspoons of rosewater and make a thick paste. Apply this mask on your skin and leave for 15 to 20 minutes, rinsing it off with lukewarm water afterwards.
Don’t feel reluctant to include the above mentioned simple steps into your daily beauty routine and never feel ashamed of your underarm area on bright summer days.
